Delete your account

In the app (fastest): open SBK → Settings → Delete Account → Delete forever. Your account is deleted immediately. On that phone, SBK also erases your saved voice phrases.

Without the app: email support@noratec.org from the email address on your SBK account, with the subject “Delete my SBK account”. We'll confirm the request comes from the account holder, delete the account, and email you when it's done.

What is deleted: your sign-in and profile (name, email, phone number, date of birth and emergency-contact details), your Circle and memberships, all your alerts with their location history and any responder locations, escalation votes, device registrations and notification tokens, your voice-trigger settings, and guardian/minor links. Your spoken safety phrase is never sent to or stored on our servers; it stays on your phone.

What is kept, and why:

• Escalation audit record: if an alert was ever escalated by text to an emergency contact, we keep a record that a message was sent (time, severity, outcome). Your identity and the contact's number are stored only as irreversible hashes. Kept for safety and legal accountability.
• Parental consent records: if you gave consent as a parent or guardian for a minor to use SBK, that consent record is kept, without your account, as legally required proof of consent.
• Text opt-outs: phone numbers that replied STOP to our texts are kept so they are never texted again.
• Purchases: subscription and payment records held by Google Play, Apple and our billing provider are kept under their own policies and legal requirements.
• Backups: deleted data can remain in encrypted backups for a limited period until those backups expire.

Delete some of your data, keep your account

• Alert history and location data: in SBK, open the Alerts tab → Clear ended alerts → Delete permanently. Cleared alerts disappear from the app immediately, and they and every location point recorded during them are permanently purged within 30 days. Ended alerts are also purged automatically 30 days after they end, even if you don't clear them.
• Profile details: in SBK, open Settings → Profile, clear your name, phone number or emergency contact, and save.
• Circle: remove people from your Circle on the Circle tab.
• Anything else: email support@noratec.org from your account's email address and say what you want deleted.
